Good news for Fresh Bucks customers – there’s now another vibrant option to shop just south of Seattle. The Skyway Farmers Market, held in the heart of the Skyway community, offers an exciting opportunity to access fresh, local produce while supporting BIPOC farmers and grassroots food justice efforts.
Born out of the Urban Food Systems Pact at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the Skyway Farmers Market was created to address food access needs in this diverse, multiracial community. What started as a community-driven response has grown into a monthly event that continues to nourish both local residents and community spirit.

Beginning May 25th and running through October, the market will operate on the 2nd and last Sunday of each month, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Skyway Resource Center parking lot (12610 76th Avenue South). Here, shoppers can find a wide selection of fresh fruits and vegetables, along with edible plant starts to grow their own food at home.
Fresh Bucks are accepted, along with SNAP/EBT, making the market an accessible and affordable option for many families. With Fresh Bucks and the SNAP Market Match program, customers can stretch their food budgets even further, maximizing the value of their benefits while supporting local farmers.
Whether you’re looking to fill your fridge with fresh produce, start a garden, or connect with your community, the Skyway Farmers Market is the place to be this season.
